About

Angie Boisselle, PhD, OTR

Never one to sit idle, I am into a variety of things, therefore, a self-proclaimed multi-dabbler. A daughter of a commercial artist and a librarian, I had little choice but to love art and learning. Apart from my 2 amazing daughters and 2 dogs, I have many interests which you will see on here.

We can change the mood of photograph by simply adding or subtracting, changing the color, altering the light or darkness, or shifting perspective. It can fool our senses or evoke certain emotions. Our minds work in a similar way. They are filtered by our personal experiences, emotions, and perceptions. We can only see through our own filter and no one else’s. A mistake that many make is to want everyone else to see life through their lens. They can spend a lifetime focused on changing other’s perceptions. The bigger challenge is the willingness to alter one’s own filter in order to see the world in all of its colors, to appreciate the light and darkness, and experience a little shift in perspective to feel a healthy sense of discomfort. All of this is necessary in order to see the beauty that life has to offer.
